This is an Egyptian restaurant within the Heritage and cultural village.A

nice little restaurant always beaming with activity and serving some great Egyptian food. Live entertainment is another attraction.

Be aware that they are always packed, hence it is better to reserve earlier to avoid any disappointment.

Sheesha, awesome food and Live Music, what more you need to make a great evening.

I had visited Khan Farouk Egyptian restaurant on a weekday, and have heard about its great reputation. The place had visitor even on a weekday and was partialy occupied. Being a weekend I did not make reservation however, I was welcomed with a smile by the staff.

The place has got a modern Arabic ambience, with light music played in the background. You may choose to be seated outside enjoying the cool breeze or inside in the cozy chairs.

A main course meal will cost you around QAR 50; however the shisha cost is QAR 45. I had mint lime juice to start with, which was refreshing.
Being a veggie I ordered falafel and had the lentil soup, which was fine. Then I had a houmus dip with basket of fresh baked breads.

Overall, it is a nice place to relax and enjoy fresh air.

This has to be one of my favorite restaurants in Qatar, it has a great location in Cultural Village (Katara). The food and shesha are great and loved the live music. Make sure to try the Kushari and Falafel they are to die for.

Note: There is a minimum of QR 100 charge per person
